In Part 1, we’ll discuss the fundamentals of OpenRewrite, an open source auto-refactoring tool that enables large-scale code transformations and analysis. You’ll learn about core technologies, such as the lossless semantic tree (LST) code representation, as well as what makes up a recipe—the program that traverses the LST to gather data and transform code. We’ll also address some basics on customizing and testing recipes.
